Alejandro Cerecero

A constant commentary on religious and social issues captured in a colorful and playful space through which to imagine our world and its cultural connections, the art of Cerecero plays with our notions of the sacred versus the secular, the historic versus the contemporary and the commercial versus the consecrated.

With over 17 years of multidisciplinary work, Cerecero is both a master and a constant student of art. Coming from a family of artists in Saltillo he is not only a painter but also an architect, furniture designer, commercial interior designer, muralist, artistic director and costume designer for several plays and musicals, editorial designer for various publications, and a professor of conceptual and mixed media art at Autonomous University of Coahuila’s School of Plastic Arts. His work has been exhibited in Spain, Italy and throughout Mexico.
